The Cotati Accordion Festival<\/em> returns in 2025 for a weekend celebrating music, culture, and community. The event will take place on Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17, at La Plaza Park in Cotati, California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1991 by Clifton Buck-Kauffman and the late Jim Boggio, the festival has grown into a nationally recognized event dedicated to showcasing the versatility of the accordion while raising funds for local music education programs. Over the decades, it has attracted musicians and fans from around the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s program will feature more than 40 acts across seven stages, covering an eclectic mix of genres such as polka, zydeco, cumbia, jazz, French music, folk, and rock. Featured performers include Cory Pesaturo, Gary Blair, Richard Noel \u201cBonhomie,\u201d Sergei & Maria Teleshev, Ginny Mac, Egl\u0117 Bartkevi\u010di\u016bt\u0117 (Lithuania), Tamas Kemendi (Hungary), Julia Masnicova (Poland), SonoMusette, and The Mad Maggies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the music, festivalgoers can enjoy interactive workshops, a student performance stage, open jam sessions, over 70 food and craft vendors, and activities designed for all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting to the event is convenient: the SMART Train<\/em> will offer free rides for passengers under 18 and over 65. Free parking will be available at the Park & Ride, with complimentary shuttle service to the park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
